Firefox Price Wise

Good news, deal hunters: A new Firefox browser add-on called Price Wise can help you shop smart and save some money this holiday season.

Launched Monday, the experimental add-on from Firefox's Test Pilot team lets you add products you're interested in buying to a watch list, then automatically tracks the price of those items across Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Home Depot, and Best Buy. When the price of an item on your watch list drops, you'll get a notification.

For more on Price Wise, check out the video below.

Price Wise may be especially helpful for Black Friday shoppers. You can go through retailers' Black Friday circulars to see what you're interested in and add those products to your watch list. That way, you'll be notified right when the price drops, so you can snag the deal you're after before it expires or sells out.

Price Wise is only available for the five US retailers listed above and does not work on international versions of their sites.

Mozilla's Test Pilot program – which is open to all Firefox users – lets you try out experimental features and provide feedback to help the company decide whether or not to integrate them into future versions of the browser.

Meanwhile, if you're in the shopping mood, you might want to check out eBay this week. The site just launched a new promotion matching or undercutting competitors advertised Black Friday prices on gaming gear, Apple AirPods, smart home devices, and a lot more.

Several other retailers are also holding pre-Black Friday sales, including Best Buy, Walmart, and Amazon. And be sure to check out our sister sites, Offers.com and TechBargains.com.
