Change your Firefox search settings on Windows 10

Learn how to make Firefox use your favorite search engine every time you enter keywords in the search bar. You can also change the search engine that Firefox uses when you search using Cortana.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Click the magnifying glass in the Search bar on your toolbar, then click Change Search Settings.

  2. In the search preferences window, select a default search engine in the drop-down menu.

  3. Put a check mark next to Use this search engine for searches from Windows to use the same search engine for Cortana searches.

  4. Close the Settings page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
