I believe the music app displays its content on the lock screen, so we should show our Podcast cover image and metadata on there too if we're actively playing something, especially now that we have #37 fixed.

That would be great! Out of curiosity, (and this might be off topic), how far could HF be integrated into FxOS ? Would it also be possible to intercept play/pause sent from a bluetooth speaker? Would it make sense to also open an issue for that?

Sure thing! I’m not sure Firefox OS exposes that kind of API, but if it does I’d be happy to implement it.

And if not, we can call it a blocker and file something against Firefox OS in bugzilla.

Great! I'll open a separate issue. Back to this one: from what I see in the music App, they seem to use this shared module:

https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia/blob/26c7ce665cfca34f1df2d22a261eabdb23f993b3/shared/js/media/remote_controls.js

Should HF do something similar?

(to be clear: I'd like to start working on HF, and this seems like a good candidate :) )

That’s definitely a useful place to start, thanks!

This feels very Firefox OS specific and I want the Q3 version to get very away from that. Closing for now.
