Webmaker is a global movement with mentors and Maker Parties happening all over the world. Localizing the tools and website are a fantastic way to contribute.

Here's how:

Get a Transifex account

Transifex is the platform that we use to manage the localization workflow.

Sign up for a Transifex account and visit the Webmaker project here: https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/webmaker/

If you're looking to localize Appmaker, it has its own Transifex project page as a part of the Webmaker Transifex organization: https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/mozilla-appmaker/

Find your language

Click on the language that you want to localize and click the Transifex - join team button button

If your language is not listed, click the Transifex - create language button button.

Start translating!

Select the project you want to translate and hit the Transifex - translate now buttonbutton.

Projects are organized by each of the 4 Webmaker tools: Thimble, X-Ray Goggles, Popcorn Maker, and Appmaker as well as the webmaker.org site and the Webmaker account management interface.

If you're looking to localize Appmaker, it has its own Transifex project page as a part of the Webmaker Transifex organization: https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/mozilla-appmaker/

Your translations will be managed and deployed to webmaker.org from there.

Note: Translating can be more fun when you're doing it with friends! Why not have a Maker Party and translate together?
